Welcome!

Thanks for visiting my blog!  Whether you are a fellow artist, patron, or even a critic - I am glad you found my site and I would love to hear your feedback.  I teach art full time at a middle school in the Cincinnati area and love creating artwork in my free time.  Over the years people have requested copies of things I have made - and while I can't quit my day job anytime soon - it thrills me to know my artwork is hanging in homes, offices, etc. and being enjoyed by others.

A student recently told me "Artists see better than everyone else."  I asked him what he meant and he explained that people who create art spend a lot of time observing things - paying attention to details that other people miss.  I think there is a good bit of truth to that!  I often find myself looking at the "little things" that I find interesting.  Whether it be the texture on the bark of a tree, the way the sunlight passes through a delicate flower petal, or the veins along the neck of a horse.  Often I have a camera in tow, and will snap pictures of these things I see.  It is not unusual for me to use photos I have taken as inspiration for my art. I feel blessed that God has given me this talent to capture His wonderful creations in my own unique way.
